I got accepted at both the University of Washington in Seattle and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I am going to major in nursing, but I don't know what school I want to go to yet. I just want some opinions because I am trying to compare the pro's and con's of both. I like Upenn because of the nursing program, and of course it's an Ivy League school so that's cool, but I don't like Philadelphia and it's really far away from my home in California I like Washington because its in a place I love, it's closer to home, it's a bigger school which would be more fun, and its cheaper... but the nursing program is only 2 years (vs. 4 years) They're both nationally accredited, the top two nursing schools in the nation Any opinions??

I think that's a pretty easy decision. Penn.

Hi! I am a junior in high school and I really want to go to UPenn... I also live in California so I'm also worried about the distance, but at the end of the day, it is an Ivy League school and, let's face it, saying "I graduated from UPenn" holds more prestige than saying the same about Washington. But in the end, the decision is truly and only yours... P.S. Can you please tell me your credentials (gpa, SAT, EC's, etc.)? I am planning to apply to UPenn Early Decision and would really appreciate the help....Thanks a lot!

That's easy: go to the University of Washington. It's a great place to go to school, a beautiful campus and you won't be a deep in debt after 4 years Looking at the U-dub website you will get the same degree - BSN (RN) From the website:("two years of prerequisite course work in general studies prior to two years of professional course work within the nursing major.") Two years of clinical experience is all you need.
